High school drop out to media - how did we get here?

(A little bit about me)

I’ve taken the road-less-travelled approach to my career, leaving high school early, working in logistics and bars, studying photography at RMIT, and then moving into recruitment for five years… All very different to what I do now, but all have shaped me to become the versatile media and content expert I am today.

But, how did I get into media from there?

The answer: COVID made me do it.

After COVID, I — like many — reevaluated what was important to me and that led me to make the slightly terrifying jump from recruitment, starting as a Social Media Producer for some of Australia’s top podcasts at Mamamia. Ever since then, I’ve continued my learning journey, starting my freelance career, becoming a News Journalist and working as a media advisor in politics.

My unique, skill-packed adventure of a career makes me, ME (!!) — and I’ve loved every second of learning, growing and meeting the best people in the business.

My path has not been your average one, and that’s my superpower.
